Banana and Coconut Smoothie Bowl

If you follow any healthy food Instagram accounts, then you’ll more than likely know about smoothie bowls. They come in all different colours, from deep red, to bright purple! With so many different topping combinations from peaches to exotic fruits from places to ask your geography teacher about. I have done a banana and coconut smoothie. All topped off with flax seeds, sliced banana, and orange slices. Let me know in the comments what smoothie bowl I should try next 🙂

Banana and Coconut Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients:

For the bowl:

3 ripe bananas
150 ml full-fat natural Greek yogurt
30g brown sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
150 ml Vita Cocoa coconut water

Topping:

1 banana sliced
1 tsp brown sugar
1/2 a satsuma orange in segments
A small handful of flax seeds

Method:

1. Put all of the bowl ingredients into a blender and blend until a smooth, thick consistency is reached.

2. Pour the smoothie into your favourite bowl (the cooler the bowl the cooler the smoothie)

3. Decorate the top of your smoothie bowl with the toppings! You can use these toppings or some of your own favourites, desiccated coconut would work really well.
