I love smoothie bowls, I think they’re so pretty. This is an alternate version of my recent post; “Banana and Coconut Smoothie Bowl” this is a lot brighter, thicker, and healthier. I do like to use frozen fruits because they lock in the nutrients and goodness. This is great to make the night before for breakfast the next day, and also is great for making with kids.
2 ripe bananas
250 ml full-fat natural Greek yogurt
2 squeezes of lemon juices
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
150 ml Vita Cocoa coconut water
3 handfuls of frozen forest fruits
150g toasted oats
For the topping:
1 sliced banana
2 tbsp flax seeds
1 handful of toasted oats
1 handful of frozen berries
A few frozen blackberries
1. Put all of the main bowl ingredients into a blender and blend; until a smooth, thick consistency is reached.
2. Pour the smoothie into your favourite bowl (the cooler the bowl the cooler the smoothie; in both senses of the word)
3. Decorate the top of your smoothie bowl with the toppings! You can use these toppings or some of your own favourites, a selection of berries, and some mint would work really well.
Send me some pictures of your smoothie bowls!
I have also put a video on how to make this on my YouTube Channel, if you liked this please go check it out and let me know what you think 🙂
